Ripley's Aquarium
TORONTO, ONTARIO
Client: Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada
With: B+H Architects
Completion: 2013
This major new attraction in downtown Toronto features aquatic environments from both the east and west coasts of Canada and around the world. As Landscape Architects for the project, Quinn Design Associates designed the integral and heavily used pedestrian walkways that connect the site to public transit and surrounding attractions such as the CN Tower. The high volume of visitors to the aquarium is accommodated by a generous and accessible plaza with a contemporary paving design and tree planting that is integrated with the existing streetscape.
