The Centre for Engineering Innovation complex provides the University of Windsor with a flagship facility to meet the Faculty of Engineering’s evolving needs. The building includes faculty offices, flexible high-tech classrooms, specialized research labs, and student study and activity spaces.

Outdoor spaces include a generous and inviting entrance plaza and a green roof adjacent to the rooftop gathering and social space. Existing trees have been maintained wherever possible. Landscape elements, such as an extensive bioswale in the parking lot, enrich learning by making sustainable ecological practices visible to students.  Historical sculptural elements from the high school, formerly on the site, were incorporated into the landscape for commemoration and interpretive display.

With leading-edge technologies used throughout the building and landscape design to enhance the sustainability of the project and strengthen the educational experience, the project achieved LEED Gold Certification.
